Art Opening

Grace had her Preschool art opening tonight.

It is held 6:00 pm to 7:30 pm, which is a difficult time for us. I got home from work at 6:30 pm and Jason left the next minute later for rehearsal. Clara's bedtime is 7 pm and Grace's is 7:30. They always crash hard, so I was reluctant to go and disrupt our routine, but Grace would have been disappointed to miss it.  Grace brought her camera and took pictures of the displays so Daddy could see. Her art is second from the left on the top.

I'm glad we went and I think Grace enjoyed it, but she was too tired to bother posing for a picture. Clara did though!

This is a city of recycled buildings. The teacher told me Grace wouldn't stop taking hers apart and rebuilding it! Hers is on the left with the black mat.

We've been enjoying some time at the zoo lately!

I never get enough of this place!

Paper Air Force

Grace was inspired by our trip to the museum to make some art!

Not the best shot I know. She is trying to show off the underside. She wanted to make a paper airplane that looked like the planes at the museum, so we examined our pictures and determined it needed propellers. She really liked the propellers!

Here is a shot of it upside down. We have propellers, red wings and paper stars glued on.

I helped her with the execution before you get too excited about her design. She wrote "US Air Force" on the sides. Pretty fun!

Strategic Air and Space Museum

We traveled to the Strategic Air and Space Museum this weekend!

The hangars were very dark and my targets are often moving, so my pictures didn't turn out as well as I had hoped. I think you'll get the idea anyway.

Grace loved taking pictures with her new camera.

Look up!

They kept saying things like "wow!", "how cool!", and "we're standing underneath one!".

You could see inside this one. I gotta say, I don't know the difference between any of these planes, so I don't know which one this is, but I do know they are super huge and impressive.

Clara pilots us down.

Grace is an excellent copilot.

Grace nonchalantly rests her arm on a bomb.

Huge propeller, tiny family.

It was a lovely family afternoon!

I have a couple of blog post ideas that have been back logged. Things have been a bit busy over here, but I will be posting again when I get a chance!
